Introduction...

The purpose of this website is to provide practical information on the Death in Motion as a practice of mystical death.

To Begin

Observation must be combined with identification. If we cannot identify the inner mother does not know which ego to hit. That is our task to identify egos. You can of course also ask the inner mother to help you to identify egos.

Identifying the Ego

1. The memory must be developed. We must be able to stop at any point in the day, ask ourselves the question, ‘what am I thinking about ?’, and then recall all that has been happening in our minds. We will then be able to choose one ego, keep it mind, concentrate on it and start working on it.

2. Often all that is necessary to disintegrate the ego is to break down the internal dialogue into individual sentences and asking the inner mother to disintegrate one sentence at a time. No further investigation is necessary. These are the simplest type of egos but not all egos are the same. Some egos are effigies, mental pictures in our minds, and a part of that picture like the colour of someone’s hair could be the spark that activates an ego. For example if someone we dislike wears a certain pair of shoes, or sits in a certain way, then when we meet someone else wearing a similar pair of shoes we might feel a little ego of anger in our emotional centre towards this person. This is called in psychology associative thinking. In this case you will have to point at the colour of the persons hair on the mental photograph within to disintegrate the ego.

3. The next step is to prompt ourselves to identify the ego. What is the next possibility of what the ego could be. It is the next sentence on the tip of your tongue. It is the next expression of the voice, the hurt, the pain, the anger, that is within you. It is the next thing that pops into to your mind. Until you get the voice that says ‘I wish I wasn’t living here’ then you haven’t discovered the ego and cannot ask for its disintegration.

4. The ego should die after about ten or 20 petitions. If it hasn’t keep the ego in mind and start to investigate further.

5. Sometimes using this method we can discover other egos and eliminate them in the process. The ego is a family you insult one, the little fellow (fear), he will feel hurt and then his big brother (anger) will give out or hit back. This is a good model to understand why we need to explore ourselves. The ego is not one but many.

6. The internal dialogue is the easiest thing to observe. It takes place continuously and all the details of the ego are there in our internal conversations with our spouse/loved one or our work colleague. These are our grievances, are they not?

7. Having selected a sentence of internal dialogue because one sentence is an ego or it could even be a word we start asking our inner mother to disintegrate the ego. Whilst we are asking we should keep the ego in observation to see if it is dying. A feeling will be felt like air going out of a tyre if it is dying. Keep repeating the sentence in your mind and if we have hit the ego bang on we will feel that this sentence starts to lose power.

8. You must study and ask continuously.

9. The next step can be flipping the sentences pronouns, words, trying different combinations until we get the exact identification of the ego. Pronouns changing from ‘I’ to ‘he’ to ‘you’. Verbs changing from past tenses to future or present tenses.

10. An example of flipping sentences could be ‘I can’t stand him’ to ‘He’s very annoying’. So by changing ‘I’ to ‘He’ or ‘you’ etc. can prompt you to the right expression of the ego. The most important thing is to continue asking during this process for two reasons. 1. When you hit the ego correctly you will feel him being wounded and you will then know to continue asking so that this one ego will been eliminated. The second reason we ask is to receive help continuously throughout the practice. That is also why we must start asking immediately when we observe an ego like anger expressing so that we alert the inner mother to the work taking place and start examining the ego.

11. The petitions can last anything up to 1 minute or even longer - experiment and try.

12. It is also worth mentioning at this point that we should look at all the associations we have in our minds, all possibilities of what the ego could be, no matter how ludicrous they may seem. This can reveal parts of your past that you might never have suspected of. This is what Master Samael calls memory work.

13. To help all of the above work, concentration is a vital component. With a quiet, concentrated mind we can see and select one ego. Therefore it is an essential part to this Therefore

14. When working on the ego, you apply the inner death to all the resentments, grudges, arguments in the mind.

15. We need to observe the thoughts that accompany the emotion e.g. Anger, fear might have the thought 'I wish she wasn't like that'.
